6 Years of Naylor Biathlon

Take a look at our story.

2020

An idea is had to create an electronic biathlon rifle that weighs, operates, and is balanced identical to the popular Anschütz 1827F.

A working prototype is created after 16 iterations. It's only issue? It won't work in the sun. The electronic rifle is shelved.

Intrigued by the variety of stocks needed to test fit the rifle, a prototype rifle stock is drawn in a sketch.

The vision for Naylor Biathlon is created.

A preliminary biathlon rifle stock design is made, a model that would later resemble the Naylor 2. Created from plastic as proof of concept.

It proves the Naylors do not know enough about rifle stock design, yet.

The first sale is made of minor rifle accessories, one Radial Handstop.

2022

Rifle stock studying continues, measuring and collecting data to understand balance, material properties, and finishing.

The first Naylor 1 prototype is completed and handed out to test. It weighs a hefty 1.4kg.

Looking to improve the quality of accessories available in Canada, Naylor Biathlon becomes one of the first Canadian firms to distribute Gehmann GmbH & Co. KG products.

2024

The Naylor Biathlon brand is formally registered in the province of Manitoba.

To complement the growing list of accessories, Peter Fortner is added to the catalogue, and by extension products from Anschütz GmbH.

A second Naylor 1 prototype is released and well received.

The first walnut Naylor 1 is sold, as is the first Limit Hardwood version as well.

A vision to offer a complete catalogue of three, distinct stocks is created.
